April Newsletter

Good day all.
I thought I’d better wait until today, just in case you all thought this was an April Fool. I saw some good ones yesterday - possibly the best being the farm that announced they had switched to oat-based milk to feed their calves, and did this mean the calves were now vegan? What was your favourite?

In a sure sign that Spring is now arriving in England, despite sudden cold snaps, the pigeons are eating the apricot blossom off my trees and I came across this on my dog walk yesterday.
In other news, Murder on the Norfolk Broads - the first in the Geldard series to be re-published by Joffe - made it to No 133 in the Amazon Kindle chart, and the second is now available for pre-order. Fingers crossed that Death on the Norfolk Broads goes even higher. I’ve also completed the re-edit of No 3, so that too is on schedule.

For those of you who are eagerly awaiting new books: as I said last month, No’s 10 and 11 are with Joffe and I just passed the 20k words mark on No 12. Gary and I, plus the two dogs, also carried out a research trip on the Bure Valley Railway this month. Tinker was not greatly enamoured of how the carriage wobbled, but both dogs behaved immaculately. More on the railway in future. 😉
Finally, in an idea I freely admit I’ve pinched from a fellow writer (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!!) I’m offering an interview with Greg next month. Let me have your questions, and I’ll include the interview in next months newsletter.
Hope April is a happy month for you all.
Best wishes
Heather
